The Osberg's: 28 Weeks... Hello Third Trimester!!!!

Nick and I went to see both our Perinatologist and our OBGYN on Friday morning... what was supposed to be two, one hour, back-to-back appointments turned into a day at the hospital. Have no fear, all is well, but when I got to the OBGYN I had to do my glucose test... aka the nasty test. I had to drink 50ml of this gross sugary drink... of course I drank it at 11:45am when I am starving thinking that I will just go get my blood drawn and then I would go eat. Of course that was not the case though... I had to wait an hour after the time I finished the drink until they could draw my blood. All that glucose made me feel ill and loopy, but I survived and we will find out if I passed on Monday.

After that was finished my doctor had me admitted to Presbyterian Hospital because he was worried that I may have formed a DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis - a clot.) What should have taken an hour, turned into three. Thankfully everything checked out find, and I must have just strained the back of my leg at the gym. I guess it is better to be safe, than sorry.

Everything went great at our Perinatologist and we got to see Caden again!!! He is HUGE... 3lbs and has very long feet and fingers. We got to see him make faces and move around. Both doctors think that Cade will be around 7.5 - 8.5 lbs if he goes full term! YIKES!!! I was a nice tiny baby, weighing in at 6lbs 14 oz... while Nick on the other hand was 8lb 11.5 oz!!! Thus, I am opting for a C-section.

As of right now the C-section is schedule for Monday, May 16th. My plan is if I go into labor earlier than that, I will try to have him the "old fashioned way." Now don't go get any crazy thoughts... I WILL HAVE DRUGS!
